a RETREAT
for grounding
in chaotic times
with
erihapeti mcpherson
In these unprecedented times, we need to pause and turn toward one another.
This retreat is your sanctuary for self-reflection and soul-nurturing. We're diving deep into ancient indigenous rituals that will ground you like roots to the earth. These practices aren't just history - they're powerful tools for managing yourself in our chaotic world.
You'll learn rituals that connect you to the wisdom of the ages, helping you find stillness in the storm. We're talking about spiritual technologies that have supported humans for millennia, now adapted for your modern life. This is about exploring profound self-management techniques that will center you, align you with your purpose, and help you navigate life's challenges with grace.
Remember, when you're grounded, you can weather any storm. When you're in touch with yourself, you can change the world. This is your time to explore, reflect, and transform. Join us in the desert, where the vast landscape mirrors the expansiveness within you.

Arriving any time after 3pm, you will make your way to the multicolor Mojave desert, set down your bags, and settle in. The air here is sweet and quiet. Have a cooling cocktail, a dip in the pool, a moment to arrive and relax. After a delicious meal together, we will open in ceremony to arrive as a group and set intentions for our time together.
-
Begin your day with a nourishing yoga session. After breakfast, Eri will talk about spiritual hygiene-- ways to mitigate self betrayal in our day to day life. There will be free time for solo activities and 1-1 sessions with Eri. After lunch, we will journey in group hypnosis, followed by ritual necklace making. Aside from our dinner, our evening will be open and spacious and might include dance parties, swimming and pillow forts.
-
After morning yoga and breakfast, join Eri for a lively group discussion on thriving in times of transition. After the morning session, we will do a journaling exercise and then have some open time for walks and time for 1-1 session with Eri. After lunch, we will come back together in the afternoon session to do rope weaving, intention setting, and practicing some of the tools and techniques we’ve learned together.

This retreat made me nicer! In the days following my return to real life, I felt happier, more empathetic, more patient, and more eager to listen to other people.
I think it was a combo of the cool ladies and that clean desert air, but I felt great.

I am longing to be back in that space of self-improvement and introspection.
The weekend was filled with: sun, warmth, laughter, windmills, crafts, talismans, blanket forts, disco balls, connections… I fell head-over-heels in adoration of all of you.
- Stephanie E.
Whenua (land)
Two distinct desert ecosystems, the Mojave and the Colorado, come together in Joshua Tree National Park.
A fascinating variety of plants and animals make their homes in this high desert land, sculpted by strong winds and occasional torrents of rain.
Dark night skies, a rich cultural history, and surreal geologic features add to the wonder of this vast wilderness in southern California.
Tortoises, coyote, big horned sheep, chuckwallas, wild hares, and many other animals call this place home.
